Evans Drumheads has been in the music industry for more than 40 years, and those six words best describe the history and vision of the company. Decades ago, Evans was the pioneer of drumhead manufacturing and design. Today, they are the innovators. Most people don't realize that Evans invented the synthetic (or plastic, or polyester) drumhead in 1956. Chick Evans was the first person to use polyester film to form a drumhead, succeeding in creating a weatherproof head, and ultimately changing the drum world forever.
The HQ RealFeel Snare Cartridge was the first pad in the industry that could double as both a snare and a standard pad. The new HQ SoundOff Ride and Hi-hat Mutes use an ultra-thin rubber that closely approximates the natural rebound of a stick hitting a cymbal.
Available in a wide selection of models, Puresound Custom Snare Wires are specially designed and handcrafted to enhance the tone, articulation, sensitivity and projection of a full range of custom and production-line snare drums. Puresound snares are made from exclusively formulated steel-alloy wires which are coiled and heat-treated before being uniformly hand-soldered to vintage-style, polished copper end clips. Finally, to protect them from corrosion without adversely affecting their sound, Puresound wires are sealed with a light coat of clear lacquer and individually packaged with both string and mylar straps for mounting.

ProMark uses only un-endangered wood in the manufacturing of its sticks and mallets. The harvesting of our hardwoods is carefully controlled, with replenishment of the forest as one of our top concerns. Prior to becoming drumsticks, the wood goes through a multitude of selection and pre-finishing processes at our own mill in the mid-south, followed by rigorous inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
